Well it's been far too long! Way too long - very poor blog keeping - a mortal sin in the world of geeky bloggy things. Sorry! There I was tootling along with Made Me Look when the kind people from www.educationcity.com came along and offered me a nice contract which I am currently in the middle of. It's been a busy 4 or 5 months and we have gradually been getting some great work done including winning a prestigious BETT award and today we found out we are shortlisted for 2 Education Resources Awards. A very nice crowd of people with customer service at the heart of their company. Still lots to do but things are going well. If you dont know EducationCity.com it's a online learning service for Primary aged children which can be accessed at school or at home. With over 15,500 schools subscribing it's proving a huge success right around the world. You can learn more about it here. Saying all of that I am still available for the shorter term projects and consultative services and have a couple of exciting projects coming up. |

I am pleased that a new site created by Made Me Look has now gone live. www.hopesupport.org.uk
Hope support young people in Herefordshire who have a relative with a life threatening illness. This was designed within Weebly to enable the staff at Hope to easily maintain and update the site with no specilaist knowledge. We have also set up a couple of social media iniatives to help spread the word about Hope: www.twitter.com/hope_support and www.facebook.com/hopesupport A new microsite from Made Me Look for a global business training company - FKB Training who are also based in Ross on Wye. This was relatively straight forward as the customer wanted a simple landing place to direct people to when networking.
www.fkbtraining.com Pleased to say that I have launched a new site for a very talented singer songwriter, Sam Batt, from Brighton. Sam has recorded two albums and is picking up loads of gigs around the country.
You can visit Sam's site at www.sambatt.com This project comprised of bringing lots of different social media into one pot - an official site for Sam. Sites like Myspace, Revernation and Facebook make life relatively easy to stream content all into one place. The effect is a compact site to act as an easy to point place for Sam that also helps with her click throughs to the rating elements on the social media sites. Drawbacks for something like this is a lot of the "embedded widgets" are Flash based and so viewing on iPad will leave a few blank spaces. |
